About the role:
Working within a minimum and medium security correctional facility, you will provide dental services to inmates in a safe and secure environment.

With the services of a Dental Assistant, you will provide relief from pain and infection, restore function, and educate patients to promote the practice of good oral hygiene. Services will be required for both acute and chronic oral disease.

As a member of a wider interdisciplinary health care team that includes but is not limited to Physicians, Mental Health Specialists and Nurses, you will be contributing to better healthcare for individuals who may not have had routine access to dental and medical services in the past.

The qualifications:
• Licensed with the Alberta Dental Association and College
• A minimum of six months of experience within the past two years

Type of assignment:
Part time, up to 24hours per week, on a one year contract with possibility of extension
